How to import a QBO file into QuickBooks Online.

A .qbo file is a Web Connect bank statement file. It is not a QBW company file. Inspect the statement period and transaction rows before uploading an unfamiliar file.

Record the account's current review state and export or preserve the information needed for recovery. Avoid testing an unknown file in a production account when a non-production workflow is available.

In QuickBooks Online, go to the bank transactions area and choose the option to upload transactions from a file. Intuit may change the exact navigation label, so follow its current manual-upload article if the menu differs.

Choose the file from your device. BankFileKit is not involved in this upload: the file moves directly from your browser to the QuickBooks service only after you choose it there.

Select the correct bank or credit-card account in QuickBooks Online. Check account type and statement period before continuing.

• Count matches the intended period
• Dates and amount direction are correct
• Descriptions are readable
• No overlapping statement period was already imported
• Unexpected rows remain unadded until investigated

Complete the review and categorization inside QuickBooks. BankFileKit does not assign accounts, categories, tax treatment, or reconciliation status.

Verify that the file is a real QBO/OFX bank statement, not a company file or renamed CSV. Check Intuit's current upload and Web Connect error guidance. Do not repeatedly upload the same period while troubleshooting.
